Remembering Yurij Bihun - longtime supporter of the Science for the Carpathians
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Yurij Myron Bihun, one of the founding members and long-time supporters of the Science for the Carpathians network.
Yurij was a passionate advocate for sustainable forest management and a true patriot of Ukraine. He was deeply connected to the forests and mountains he loved, and his dedication to fostering collaboration and supporting young Ukrainian professionals and researchers will always be remembered.
Yurij’s contributions to our network, his ability to bring people together, and his unwavering commitment to a better future touched the lives of many. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. He will be deeply missed, not only for his work but for the warmth and humanity he brought to everything he did.
