Consultations on the coexistence and conservation of Carpathian large carnivores (project LECA)
20 November 2023, 14:00 - 16:30, ONLINE
The Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic together with the Secretariat of the Carpathian Convention have the pleasure of inviting you to participate in consultation that will contribute to the preparation of thematic guidances on monitoring large carnivores in the Carpathians, as well as prevention of poaching and human-wildlife conflict, undertaken within the project LECA (Supporting the coexistence and conservation of Carpathian LargE Carnivores).
Your views and contribution to the discussion will be highly appreciated!
The LECA project (Interreg Central Europe) will introduce a consistent and efficient approach to the monitoring of lynxes, wolfs and bears in the Carpathians, which will involve local stakeholders. It will result in up-to-date population information, coupled with effective conflict prevention measures. Thus, the project directly contributes to the implementation of the Action Plan on the conservation of large carnivores and ensuring ecological connectivity in the Carpathians.
The consultation will take place online on Monday, 20 November, 14-16:30 CET.
You are kindly invited to register: LINK (registration is not compulsory, but will help the organisers to get better understanding of the group of participants).
Please kindly save the date in your calendar. The meeting agenda and background documents for discussion will be shared with you in advance of the meeting.
